I have set up a new web page for the 1865 NYS census index where you can link to the various wards. There is a link to in on the Troy section of my website. I have the wards combined by alpha and am starting to get the index online by surnames. So far they are online for A to beginning of C and all the Ws. Please read the bottom of the page. I gave instructions on how to link to the the census page images on the FamilySearch (Family History Library) website. Once you find your name in the index, it is a fairly easy process to find the image where the page of the census is located.
