First I have to apologize that in my haste I was forgetting to delete the lengthy posts to which I responded. Secondly, thank you all for your help with my question about the TB Sanatorium. I only recently heard that my grandmother came to the US from Ireland to be treated. I'm not sure about that, and no one is still living who could verify the information. I'm basing my inquiry on the memory of one 87 year old woman who is pretty sharp, so it could be so. However, I wouldn't have thought a person would be allowed into the US if they had TB. But, if they were bound for a hospital for treatment I suppose it could be possible? I'm also not sure, but I think there might have been family living in Long Island (so much still to learn!) so it is possible she went to Long Island for treatment. I have sent a letter of inquiry to Sea View Historic Foundation, Inc. I'll keep digging! Thank you all. Erin
