    3. My great grandfather was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 1864 and I have a copy of his baptismal certificate from St. Vincent de Paul parish. It is a copy made in 1932 when one of my great aunts needed to prove her citizenship to get a passport. Willamsburg and the Flatlands are both in the Diocese of Brooklyn, so if you can find the parish, you could have a pretty good shot at getting baptismal records (assuming a cooperative parish clerk) http://dioceseofbrooklyn.org/parish_search.aspx good luck!
