    3. Hi Maureen, Do you have the death cert for your great gpa?  That most likely will give you his parent's names.  That is how I found out my great gma's parents names of DUFFY. I have KELLY's on both sides of my tree & also MORAN's on both sides.  I am still (since 1995) looking for the death record/time/place of my great gpa, Owen MORAN.  I have him coming back from a trip to Ireland thru Ellis Is, even tho he was a US Citizen & because of this should not have come thru Ellis, but manifest says he was senile. That was May 1911 & 3 days later he was in Hudson Co Court of Common Pleas saying his "papers were burnt by fire".  So he didn't have his papers, so another reason to come thru Ellis.  That is the last I have of him. My other greats were John KELLY & Kate BANNON..they came from Trim, Meath in 1873.  From his civil marriage registration I got his father's name, Arthur KELLY. I have his Mom as Alice, last name unkn.  But I don't know where he was born.  I have found an Arthur & Alice in the Drogheda area of Meath & Louth, but just don't know. I would say go thru all the baptisms & births & deaths here in US to see if you can find it.  Do you know his siblings names?  Look for their death certs & maybe you'll hit paydirt!  I don't know any of John's siblings. Good Luck.
