I have just started loading the 9th ward online (Troy section of my website). Tonight and tomorrow I should finish getting all the pages online. This ward has 4,771 individuals living in 566 dwellings and 958 families. There are now over 30,000 individuals indexed and online. Only the 10th ward remains and all pages have been assigned so that should be going online in a few weeks. The good people to thank for transcribing the 9th ward are: Terry Bora, Amy La Pietra, Sharon King, Bob McConihe, and Earl Smith. Their efforts are to be commended for their dedication and accuracy. This was a horrible ward to work on due to the enumerator's lack of spelling and consistency. Please read the transcription notes. Once the 10th ward is online, I will create an full index, like I have done with the other censuses that we have transcribed, for easier searching. Once you find someone of interest, please go to the Family History Library pilot website and look at the census. You can find the image by noting the dwelling and family numbers. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
