    1. [NY-IRISH] Question: Canada Immigration Records
    2. Clare Higgins
    3. Hi, everybody. I have reason to believe that my great-great-grandparents emigrated from Ireland and landed in Canada. This is because the first record I find of them in the U.S. is a census record from 1850, in Moira, Franklin County, New York. I've learned that Canadian immigration records are not available on line. Does anybody know where I can go to research them? Thanks. Clare Higgins

    1. [NY-IRISH] To Francesca: RE: Question: Canada Immigration Records
    2. Clare Higgins
    3. Hi, Francesca. Here's all the info I have on my great-great-grandparents: Morris (or Maurice or Muiris) Higgins, born c. 1815 in County Mayo His wife: Kathryn (or Catherine) Flanagan, born c. 1815 in County Limerick Married: February 2, 1838 Emigrated to U.S.: 1850 Probably had a daughter Margaret with them, age 2. I think Kathryn was also pregnant with another child. They settled in Moira in 1850 and lived there three years. Then Catherine went to Ireland and came back with three more of their kids: Morris Jr., Cornelius and John, and the family settled in Hudson, NY in 1853. I would very much appreciate whatever you can find. Thank you so much.
