I work in Plattsburgh and Malone. Figure on stayimg in Malone. More Hotel opportunities and it is the County Seat. You may as well figure on renting a car for the entire trip if you can. Amtrak does come through Plattsburgh on the way to Montreal but Malone/ Moira is about 1 hr west and you will be place hopping out there. 10 miles is a short distance in the North Country. I am not sure where the Catholic Diocese is for Moira but I am thinking Ogdensburg another hour west. You will want to check that and be able to make that trip if necessary if you coming all this way. 25 degrees this morning. It is a very small town with a store, Motel, hotel, post office and a restaurant/bar on Rte. 11 in Franklin county. At one time the GreyHound bus stopped at the Motel, but that was years ago. You have to take AmTrak to Plattsburg and then drive from there to Moria. Perhaps the Town Offices or the Franklin County Office could help you. Hi, John. I don't drive, so I think I'll try to find out as much as I can by mail and email. Thanks for the info, though. I might end up going and using taxis.
