Hello, EJ, I have a couple of quick throughts. It certainly rains more in Ireland, and it has historically less sunny days than in NY. Then again, it could be a good excuse to emigrate. If you can't find your ancestor listed in a census at a sanitorium, or a death certificate, it would be difficult to track her stay there, as many of these places were private and no longer exist. Is there a repository in NYS, via the health department, for these records? Possible, but I am unaware of any. If she survived TB and was found living outside of NYC, that might be a lead as to where she was treated. Have you checked the NYT online or http://fultonhistory.com/?
