    1. [NY-IRISH] More Tipperary Town Court of Petty Sessions on line
    2. Pat Connors
    3. I have just added Jan 1, 1852 to Mar 11, 1852, petty court sessions index to the Tipperary section of my website. The indexes now go from the Nov 2, 1851. The film description stated that the records on the film I ordered went from 1851 to July 1852. I expected to get a year and half of records but instead the film only contained 4 months. I was disappointed but I did order the next film and it will be a surprise what dates are on it, since the description says it goes from July 1852 to August ? (no year given, just the question mark). Most of the films are for 2-3 years, so hopefully this will be also. I am wondering if these indexes are worthwhile in your family history quest. If you have an opinion, one way or another, please write me off the list. I will be searching the films for Tipperary Town till 1870 and was wondering if the info is helpful for others. I didn't add the offense or disposition because I felt the info, while it might add to your family history, it probably should be private. However, while there were some offenses for drunkenness, most were for stealing food, like potatoes and geese. The offenses for the Workhouse (Tipperary PLU) were mostly for stealing clothes or abandoning their children there. It was a sad time and people stole to keep their families alive and left their children at the workhouse so they could be fed and clothed and had a roof over their heads. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
