I have just put the 6th ward of this census online (Troy section of my website). I contains 3,126 individuals living in 319 dwellings and in 596 families. There are 10 wards in the 1865 NYS census. We are currently working in the 8th ward and all of the 7th ward pages have been assigned. The people to thank for giving up some of their time to help others, the transcribers of this ward, are: Terry Bora, Kay Brearton, Austin Fadden, Amy La Pietra, Lynn Grice, Sharon King, Bob McConihe, and Earl Smith. A few of them do pages every day and do them very well. So far, there are 18,922 individuals listed in the first 6 wards. Again, I must caution you to please read the NOTES listed with each ward. Each ward had different enumerators whose entries can be very different from each other. For instance, some listed 'child', others listed son, daughter. Some had trouble with the relationships.
