Kevin, I found the marriage of Patrick McArdle to Margaret McCauran in the Grooms Index at www.germangenealogygroup.com (Note: this website is not solely devoted to German genealogy) Go to "Databases" then to "Vital Records Databases" and finally to "New York City Grooms Index" The pertinent record is certificate # 784 - 20 Apr 1917 in Queens Co. NY. There is a link to a printable form to request a copy of the certificate from the Municipal Archives in New York City. Kevin, Yes, the parents names should be on the document. The beauty of a marriage certificate is that the information is typically reported by the individuals themselves so the likelihood of errors is reduced. Lynn
