    2. Kevin, I really don't have any records from County Clare. I know what you mean about the McMahon name being common...thought the O'Keefe might help but that's probably very common also. It took me 20 years to find out he was from Clare. (He seemed to change his birth year a lot.) The NY Emigrants Savings Bank Records indicate he arrived in 1864 on the ship Antartic. Haven't been able to locate the Antartic manifest on-line to see if other family member were with him or not. Guess it's like finding a needle in a haystack...thanks, Mary Ann ====NY-Irish Mailing List==== Don't forget to check out the NY-Irish mailing list website. 3. Have you tried the County Clare Library website? http://www.clarelibrary.ie/ It is totally free and has all of County Clare's Griffith Valuation and Tithe Applotments plus much more. Now there is a project to transcribe all the County Clare's RC records which is also in coordination with the library. Some parishes are done and online. I am sure you can find more online than you think. You can't expect Kevin to do the research you need, especially when he would have to use the same resources that are found at the library, which you can research for free online.
