    1. [NY-IRISH] Updated Irish Gleanings web page - Connecting people to townlands in Ireland
    2. Sheila
    3. I've have been researching the US State Department records at the US National Archives and located some paper documents that identify the Irish townland connected to a person as well as a location in the United States and names of relatives. This month, I have added names, dates and locations from two collections of paper Passport Applications - 1907 to 1921. These documents are not yet on Ancestry. About 525 items come from the "Emergency Passport Applications" filed through the US Embassy in London, England. About 100 items come from the "Application by the Wife of a Member of the Naval or Military Forces of the US for a Certificate to Depart for the US." The site is at http://sites.google.com/site/irishgleanings/ These records exist for only a small number of Irish people and only for limited years. Use the search function of the web browser to locate names and places. If you don't find your ancestor, search for their brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles or cousins. Hope this helps your search. Regards, Sheila
