I have a document with links to resources for improving the security of your PC and will gladly send to anyone who requests this off-list (connell@nycap.rr.com) Here's just one reputable link you might find useful: http://www.staysafeonline.org/tools-resources/free-security-check-ups Christine Connell /*October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month*/
I checked this site out and it offers a number of online free checkups and I'd be careful of them. If you don't have virus protection for your computer it is better to buy some. I use Zone Alarm and I am very confident with it. However, these do not help when you are in a program, like Facebook, that automatically copies your Address Book, when you sign up. They were noted for their bad security and that was where my address book got broken into.
