There was a public forum last Friday about the horse drawn carriage industry. A city council member felt that City Council Bill 573-A did not clarify *why* this 150 year old tradition of horse drawn carriages, should be diminished in size. This industry employees predominant Irish-Americans. Mayor di Blasio tends to advocate for urban immigrants, which is what makes this issue even more confusing.
