Does anyone know if you order the FHL film as referenced on Ancestry.com.....do you get any additional info on the film? The info on Ancestry states date of registration as Jan-Feb-Mar, 1903 and Listowel, Ireland....so the volume, page number and film number is listed.....but has anyone ordered a film such as this and get any additional info? Also, that would also pertain to their birth records, too? Thanks, Elizabeth
Don't quote me on this, but I think the film referenced is the index, so you'd just get the same info. You can use the vol and page number to order the certificate from the GRO in Ireland. Can I ask who you're researching in Listowel? My husband's family is from there. You would likely get at the least the priest/minister's name which you could then search--as I have--to find the church where they were married. Then contact the church for their record. You would also likely get home addresses. The witnesses' names on the church record are also usually great clues.
