    3. Hi Janet, You and I emailed a while ago about DCs and Coroner's Inquests...but I don't know if we ever discussed Gillepie? I have Patrick, who came to Brooklyn around the mid 1850s, and married a Dublin girl named Margaret Agnes McDermott. They had 9 children with a couple of distinctive names. They had Mary and Margaret, Joseph and John, but they also had Isabella, Martin, Isaac, Daniel, and Richard. Following a naming pattern, Patrick's parents may have been Daniel and Isabella. Patrick was a policeman. Most of the sons worked for the railroad, and the wife of one of them worked 25 years as a ticket taker. I don't know where Patrick came over from, but he is listed everywhere as from Ireland, with both parents from Ireland. Any recognition? 3. You would likely get at the least the priest/minister's name which you could then search--as I have--to find the church where they were married. Then contact the church for their record.  You would also likely get home addresses.  The witnesses' names on the church record are also usually great clues.            Good luck--Virginia From: KCANDME103 via <ny-irish@rootsweb.com> To: ny-irish@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, June 13, 2016 4:30 PM Subject: [NY-IRISH] Ireland, civil registration marriages index on Ancestry Does anyone know if you order the FHL film as referenced on  Ancestry.com.....do you get any additional info on the film?  The info on  Ancestry states date of registration as Jan-Feb-Mar, 1903 and Listowel,  Ireland....so the volume, page number and film number is listed.....but has  anyone ordered a film such as this and get any additional info?  Also, that  would also pertain to their birth records, too? 3. Don't quote me on this, but I think the film referenced is the index, so you'd just get the same info. You can use the vol and page number to order the certificate from the GRO in Ireland. Can I ask who you're researching in Listowel? My husband's family is from there.
