I just received a newsletter about new additions to the search engine that you may be interested in. They have added more genealogy websites to their search engine this week. You can now search for ancestors listed on the Irish 1901 and the 1911 census using our search engine. We have also added the following state archive genealogy records: Alabama; Arizona; Arkansas; Maine; Missouri; South Carolina; Tennessee; Texas; Utah; Virginia; Washington and Wisconsin. When posted to the Rootsweb mailing list, this link may get cut so you will have to copy both parts and paste to get it to work correctly. http://www.genealogyintime.com/GenealogyResources/Tools/advanced_genealogy_search_engine.html -- Pat Connors, Sacramento, CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

Hello All, Thanks for your much appreciated assistance. It's certainly given me a better understanding of NY records. If anyone needs help in Ireland just let me know. Slán, Kevin.
I have been to Ireland a number of times, Kevin, and while there are more sources in your country than what is online, they aren't all together. What is needed by Mary Ann is access to all the RC records and without knowing the area, it is hard to know which parish to look into. Her people emigrated in 1864, the year when civil registration started in your country. So, again Mary Ann needs RC records to piece her family together. I suggested she use the County Clare library so she could use the GV and the Tithe Applotments to find where in County Clare her surnames are found. After that research, maybe she can limit her search to fewer RC parishes. However, McMahon and O'Keefe are fairly common names. In fact, according to MacLysaght, McMahon is the most common surname in County Clare. Also, some RC parish records for County Clare are online at: http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/don_tran/bmd/index_bmd.htm Note the following parishes have been fully transcribed: Feakle, Tubber, plus much more parishes have partial transcriptions. By searching these records, if Mary Ann doesn't find her family, she can eliminate some RC parishes and her search gets narrower. Where are you in Ireland, Kevin? You have a wonderful and beautiful place to live. I am jealous. Don't worry about me Pat....... there's more sources than just on line. > > -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

Not sure if this is of any use but I thought I'd post this....... 1900 Census Patrick McArdle and family are living on what looks like Boerman Place....running off Atlantic Avenue? Brooklyn Ward 3 District 21. 1910 Census Patrick with family on Nelson Street Brooklyn Ward 12 District 251 I may have confused matters earlier.......... 1st wife is in the 1900 census ( Anna) 2nd wife is there in 1910 census (Margaret) I gave the censuses of 1900-1930 where I had the family....not what might have appeared as the time scale of my searches for marriages. Apologies. Slán, Kevin.

Hello All, This is my first post. I'm attempting to help out a friend of mine..... I have Patrick McArdle in 1900 married to Anna (she dies) and from 1910 -1930 married to Margaret with children incl twins John and Peter. (1908) I'm in Ireland so you'll have to bear with me reg. NY records. I believe Margaret to be Margaret McGauran (various spellings) and they lived in Brooklyn. What Id like to obtain is a marriage or death record of Patrick and/or Margaret too. I'd also be interested in any avenue that could give me information. Ultimately I need anything to help me gain records further back here in Ireland regarding the couple. Any advice or assistance would be most welcome. ( can NY records/library info be accessed inter state?) Best regards. Slán, Kevin. Co Cork, Ireland.
