I checked internments at Find a Grave for Most Holy Trinity Cemetery and for Old Methodist Burying Ground - Robert Mvguire not listed. I would contact cemeteries directly. 1854 is an early burial and he may not have a headstone either ? Bodies were removed to Cypress Hills Cemetery Bklyn in 1856. You could check records there. Google Old Methodist Burial Ground Brooklyn. Bodies buried there were moved to another cemetery and the old cemetery was built over with houses. Try Find a Grave. last email to list from [email protected] Do NOT click on the link in the email. sicemetery go into AOL and change your password using letters and number AGAIN, all AOL uses need to do the same, the mailing program of AOL has been compromise and while they announced they were making changes, here we have another spam email from an AOL account. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, list admin http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
I just received a copy of the death notice from the NY Municipal Archives for my ancestor Robert McGuire, who died in 1854. He was an Irish Catholic who was born in Ireland. The book has a category, following, cause of death for "Cemetery". It has "Williamsburg" listed for him (and several others). I have googled it and have only found a reference to a Methodist Cemetery in Williamsburg. Can anyone tell me what the Williamsburg cemetery would have been.
I haven't had any emails from the list in 10 days...? Just noticed. Thanks Kelly
Kris, thanks so much, but your pictures are beautiful! Pat site is wonderful! I am sorry it took me so long to get it done, but life just got in the way. In February, I moved my website from one server to another and decided then and there that when I got home from Florida (there for March), I would not do another thing till I got your pictures up. The sheer number was what had held me back, I think. I had started them the year you took the pictures but then had surgery which set me back physically, then other things happened and before I knew it 3 yrs had gone by. I really apologize for taking so long. The pictures of the Sisters' graves were beautiful. I think I really got a lot out of seeing each and every one. Again, I can't thank you enough. And, it goes without saying, if you ever feel like doing more, I would welcome them. Take care, Pat -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

Thanks Kelly and Gerry for the heads up.The link said the program about Hart Island is on TV tonight on channel TV1. Since our RC Irish arrived impoverished, you know out culture must have plenty of burials there. Does SKS know how to get this station in NY metro area, TV1? Whose the savvy tech person out there?
