I KNOW WHAT THE LIST DID, FOUND INF ON BIRTH, MARRAIGE AND DEATHS, WITH YEARS OF THE EVENT. THE INFO CAME THRU AFTER YOU PUT IN NAME YOU WERE LOOKING FOR .SOMETIMES YOU GOT THE BRIDE OR GROOMS NAME ON THE MARRIAGE LIST, ALSO THE DEATH ANF BIRTH LISY YOU DID N'T HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER, YOU JUST PUT IN WHAT YOU WERE LOOKIN FOR. Yes, their search function is not easy. There is probably more there than I have ever found. I try to remember to use the "My Quick Links" thing on the right side of the home page on Ancestry. Saves a lot of time down the road. I would think you would have to be logged in to Ancestry for these to work tho the second one may be free, not sure. The NY Passengers database is http://search.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=7488 Also of great use is their list of NY databases--hones things down-- http://www.ancestry.com/cs/us/newyork?o_iid=40092&o_lid=40092&o_sch=Web+Property Good luck.
