We have just added another 50 pages to the on line 1870 federal census for Yonkers. So far, we have the first 100 pages of the census on line. It includes 503 dwellings, 632 families and 3,976 individuals. It was transcribed mostly by June Howard with help from Carol Lofton. This is an on-going project since Yonkers has 464 pages. Carol has now moved to New Rochelle and is working on that city. If anyone would like to help, you can contact me off list. You can find the census at the url below my name.
