    3. Marlene, St. Luke's is the hospital in Newburgh. Its first location was on Liberty Street in what is now the Elk's Lodge (155 Liberty). It is just north of Broadway. I don't know if there was any other hospital or infirmary in the city in your time frame but as Howard suggested, ask a librarian! I mapped 138 Broadway Newburgh NY on Mapquest.com. If you click on the big map button near the upper right of the map and zoom in as far as you can, all the addresses you mention are visible and you can see where they are in relation to one another. There are still many old buildings in this area of the city.
