What would be the odds of Orange county having the birth record for an 1872 birth in Warwick? If they do have it, what information would it be expected to contain? Will it give the parents' actual place of origin or will it, like the census, just list "Ireland"? If I can find an RC church in Warwick, would it be likely to have baptismal records after all this time? If so, would it provide more information than a birth certificate? The family lived in Chester, but my grandfather was born in Warwick - at least according to his death certificate. I don't know why, or even how far apart the two towns are.
