Linda, Others may know more than I do about this. The only places I know for sure have it are the State office in Albany and the National Archives New York City office. It starts in 1881, but I can't recall now how late it goes. I was looking at the 1880s, so I didn't pay much attention. Anyway, it's arranged by year and then alpabetically by surname, then given name. With the fiche, it's really quick and easy. It gives you the date of death, the locality in which the death cert. was issued and the death cert. number. I'd offer to check for you, but I don't get into the City very often, so I don't know when I'd get another chance to check it. Maybe someone who lives in Albany or NYC could do it for you.
