Margaret Ida Kaufmann, of High Point, N.C. and former resident of this area, died Friday, May 30, 2003 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point, N.C. She was 98. She was born June 26, 1904 in Ulster County, the daughter of the late Franklin C. and Anna Marie Toaspern Cordes. Mrs. Kaufmann was a member of the Jehovah's Witness faith and the Monday Morning Bible Study Class at her church. Surviving are daughter, Anna Bound and her husband, George, of Piscataway, N.J.; two sons, Curt Franklin Kaufmann and his wife, Sandra, of Bridport, Vt. and Walter Brandt Kaufmann and his wife, Charyle, of High Point, N.C.; sister, Bertha "Sis" Feigenheimer of Port Jervis; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, June 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with a Jehovah's Witness representative officiating.
