I have finally put all the naturalizations on line. A reminder...complete LDS film # 134660 covering all alien declarations for Irish born filed in Rensselaer County Justice Court, Troy NY from middle of 1853 to middle of 1859, probably about 2,000 names. Information you will find: name, age, county of birth, port left from, date arrived in USA, residency and date filed. Residences in Rensselaer, Albany, Saratoga, Washington, etc. counties in NYS plus many from Vermont and MA plus from other parts of NYS including NYC. You can access the databases from two websites, mine at the URL below my name. Under New York State chose Troy. This week I will start transcribing the next film in this series covering the rest of 1859-1868. I hope to finish it before going back East in August. If you find a name that you think might be yours, I suggest you look at the film to check for accuracy because I do make mistakes and the handwriting was hard to read at times. Plus, you might just want a copy of the declaration, many were signed. What to do if you don't have a county?
