Looking for descendants of John O'Connor/Connors b 1880 Troy NY and wife Nora, b 1885± Ireland. Children included: Richard & James b 1913, John b 1915, Stephen b 1920, Mary b 1923. I found them living in Manhattan in the 1920 census and in Albany in the 1930 census. The 1920 census had all the children born in Troy but I have been unable to find them in the Troy 1910 or 1915 censuses. I have also found them using both Connors and O'Connors. John Sr. is my grand uncle, brother to my grandfather. He died in 1940. Richard married an Elizabeth and also died in 1940. SSI index has Nora dying in 1970. Family lore has John and Stephen becoming RC priests. The last I found James was in Albany directories in 1966 but he is not in the SSI index. Berne is in Albany County. It was part of Van Rensselaer Manor. Try LDS films of Albany County land records or more likely Van Rensselaer Manor Ledger books, West Manor. I think they have been filmed. Ann
Where would one find the early land transactions 1800-1810 of the Renssealer Land, in Berne Township? John Furman is on the 1800-1810 Census for Berne. So where might I find the documents where he received his land and any sales? I haven't been able to find his death information either. Thanks Marita

New York Marble Cemetery, aka Second Avenue Cemetery, most burials 1830-1870, last burial 1937 but still available for its families, at www.marblecemetery.org . All interments are listed on line. 2. Here's a still active cemetery in lower Manhattan: NEW YORK MARBLE CEMETERY, a/k/a Second Avenue Cemetery.
