    1. RE: NYS Census Availability by County

    3. This page has a list of the census that have been microfilmed and are available through any LDS FHC: http://www.frontiernet.net/~halsey1/ny/ny-census.htm Note that many of the early censuses have been lost. Some censuses exist but apparently have never been microfilmed. e.g. Several Wayne Co. state census indexes by the Wayne Co. Historical Society are listed on the LDS FHL site but neither that site nor the NYSL site lists the originals. -----Original Message----- From: Roger Phillips [mailto:rphillips08@earthlink.net] Sent: Saturday, May 14, 2005 5:29 PM To: NY-CENTRA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: NYS Census Availability by County I use the following link as a general reference to know what years are available for specific counties. Does anyone know of additional sources for the gaps? http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/genealogy/nyscens.htm I also just found the following website that is a great resource for links to online transcriptions. http://www.census-online.com/links/NY/ Roger Phillips rphillips08@earthlink.net
