    2. Thank you for all the good information. I think that is what I need to find the death cert. for Henry Rowe that supposedly said his father was "Peter," my ancestor, and father of Huldah Rowe Ogden. Another question, please. If Peter Rowe, (b. 1776 )of Otsego Co.in 1800 married an Indian girl, of which tribe whould she have likely been? Peter was not in 1810 c. as he was in 1800 (Unadilla, Otsego Co.#25 10010 11010) so had he died or left the place and his children lived w/bro.Henry? The children of Henry and wife Jane Tullock may have been: Peter, Anna, Luther, Harmon, Huldah and Adam.(1810 c.#40 20100 00100 Worcester). The children of Peter, his brother, may have been: Elizabeth/Peggy, Huldah, Henry, William, Jacob, and Jehoikam. Thank you. Elizabeth

    3. Sidney Center is in Delaware County, NY about 6.5 miles east of Sidney. On a modern map you can find it between Sidney and Oneonta a bit south of I-88. I haven't found a reference to a Perch Pond in that vicinity. There is a Perch Pond in the northeast corner of Broome County, NY in the town of Colesville about 4 miles southwest of Afton. The closest towns are Ninevah, Doraville and Bettsburg. A bit further to the west is Harpursville. Perch Pond is about 18 miles from Sidney Center. There is a Henry Row on the 1850 census in Sanford, Broome County (p. 49) age 44 (b. abt 1806) with wife Alivira age 42 and children Seymour, Delos, Handford, Homer, Amanda, Wesley and Rosa. The town of Sanford is just to the east of Colesville. There is also a Peter Row, age 50 (p. 47). He is living with wife Mary and children Hiram, Diadama(?), Benjamin, Peter Jr., Marietta, Jane and Sally age 9. Henry Rowe is in Sanford in 1860 with wife Priscilla age 51 and children Handford, Wesley, Rosy and Salina (p. 163) In 1870 there is just Henry, Alvira and Salina - still living in Sanford (p. 59) Henry and Alvira are still going strong in 1880, again in Sanford (p. 9) I also found Sally Briggs (no spouse) in Kakoka, Lincoln, Clark Co, MO on the 1880 census (p. 11), age 39 with children Jenni, Dora (or Nora), Lloyd and Peter Rowe (father) age 80. Both Sally Briggs and Peter Rowe were born in NY. ----- Original Message ----- From: <ECromer1@aol.com> To: <NY-CENTRA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 22, 2005 7:55 AM Subject: [NYCENTRAL] Sidney Center, Delaware Co.NY > Please, do any of you have information on Sidney Center where I am looking > for a Henry Rowe, b. 1806; m. 3. Elizabeth, I have a book Etched in Stone which lists all cemeteries for Sidney, but nothing on Perch Pond, which I've never heard of. I went to the Delaware county site and put that in and it didn't show up anything, but maybe its a mis-spelling. I also looked for Henry Rowe in my book, but nothing on him or his wife. I suggest putting a query on the Delaware County List and checking out the website, www.dcnyhistory.org. Its a great site and you might find what you are looking for. Its also helpful to put a query on the site itself.
