A long story short, Union Cemetery is now under a high school with the remains reinterred elsewhere. Cedar Grove Cemetery might have the records. The family arrived in New York on October 15, 1853, on the ship, "Orphan" which had sailed from Bremerhaven. The earliest record of their being in Springfield, Louisiana, is February 15, 1858. Another note indicated that the family had relatives in New York City. > > Any help in locating records for this cemetery would be appreciated. > > Fred Kopfler > > Folsom, Louisiana > > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
