Heid and Theodore Heid. Both were known to have headed west in the 1870s. A search of Ancestry.com's historical newspaper index shows the name Heid as appearing in the Nevada State Journal and the Reno Evening Gazette for various dates from 1882 through 1923. Viewing images of the papers online however, I have been unable to spot the name. If anyone can give me further information on any Heids in the Reno vicinity (city directories, other local records, etc.) I would be most grateful.
