We know only that Augusta was born in Hanover, Germany, died in 1941 and that they both died in the Chicago, Illinois area. We understand Max's heritage was German also. They had 8 children--only 4 survived. One is Norman Henry Birr who is now 95 and still living. His brother Arthur died at age 78, sister Lida and another sister married a Yundt. Do any of these names ring a bell? Appreciate anything you might know.
