He was born May 12, 1941, in Reno, Nevada to John and Mary (Figone) Devencenzi, both whom predecease him. His grandmother, Catherine Figone, also predeceases him. He had been a resident of Yolo County since 1967. After completing his schooling, he began his working career in Nevada and after several years there, he then moved to Woodland, and went to work for Kordite Mobil Chemical which later became what is now Tyco manufacturing. He has been continuously employed there for the last 36 years. A person who was extremely devoted to his family he loved being surround by those he cared for and loved. His "life was his wife, daughter and grandchildren" and those who knew him remember him as a giving and caring man. And his daughter remembers him as the "World's Greatest Dad." Away from work he was always busy with hobbies and interests that were diverse and challenging. He loved to take walks, work in his garden at home with his cactus and peonies and searching for things to recycle. Reloading, curing olives, fishing, hunting and enjoying the "Green Bay Packers" football team were things that kept him busy and occupied. Pete treasured the times he spent with his "father-in-law" cutting w! ood and sharing good times. He was a friend to everyone and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He was also known to friends and co-workers as a man who loved old cars, motorcycles and to tinker with anything and everything while listening to the "Oldies but Goodies" from the 1950s and 1960s. His wife of 39 years, Frances Marie (Ventura) Devencenzi; his daughter, Dayna Devencenzi and his son, Jerry Williams Devencenzi, all of Woodland, survives him. His grandchildren, also of Woodland include Pete Randell Kemmler, Brittney Elise Ashbey and Sahra Lynn Meddock, Shannon Nichole Meddock and Steven Williams Meddock. His brothers, Tony Devencenzi and Frank Devencenzi of Reno, Nevada; and his sisters, Elda Umscheid and spouse Elfred of Elko, Nevada, Angie VanMetter of Sparks, Nevada and Emiley Laney of Reno, Nevada also survive Mr. Devencenzi as do numerous nieces and nephews and good friends. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at 1 p.m., at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, CA. Pastors Walter Zeck and Doug Zeck will officiate. Private interment for family members and friends will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations in Mr. Devencenzi's name may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 650 University Ave., Suite 108, Sacramento, CA 95825, (916) 921-9518. Kraft Bros. Several of their children also came to live for a while in this area. Wilmer Pabst lived for some time with his parents Daniel and Angie Pabst. Daughter Zelda (Pabst) Beebee and her daughter Lily M Beebee also lived with them. Daughter Maybelle (Pabst) Whelan lived nearby with children May (or Mary), Virginia, Elizabeth, and Robert J Whelan. Daughter Elsie Pabst was 18 years old in 1930, and may have married there. Wilmer was also single, 33, and may have married there. Daughters Zelda and Maybelle may have remarried there. In nearby Storey County, Harold Pabst and wife Lydia lived in Truckee Township with at least one child, a daughter Joan D (unsure of name). Harold and Lydia must have moved to Yuma AZ upon retirement, and died there. Wilmer died in San Luis Obispo County CA. He and his wife Betty moved to Davis in 1958, where they lived until August of this year. He worked as the animal resource supervisor for UC Davis from 1959-1990. He was an avid sports fan who loved to golf, play horseshoes and fish. He was a member of the Northern California Horseshoe Association for many years. The couple enjoyed wintering at their home in Rancho Casa Blanca near Palm Springs. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Kincheloe; daughter, Cyndi Kincheloe of Arbuckle; son, Keith Kincheloe and his wife Cindy of Grass Valley; and four grandsons, Christopher Bowers and his family of Gig Harbor, Wash., Aaron Bowers and his family of Minneapolis, Minn., Joshua Kincheloe and his family of Chico and Benjamin Kincheloe of Grass Valley. He is also survived by William, Nichole, Nathan, Christopher and baby Kincheloe. A loving wife and mother, she was active in many community organizations, including serving as president of the Robbins PTA. She also served as captain of the Ladies Club at the Peace Tree Golf and Country Club. And and her husband lived at Lake Tahoe for 10 years before relocating to Reno three years ago. Oliver and Maude Iveson homesteaded on Nigger Creek in Washoe County, Nevada, about 25 miles North East from GERLACH, Washoe County, Nevada. Maude died some years before Oliver. He died some years back,1970's and lived in Lyon County, Nevada when he died, about 40 miles South from where I live in Fallon. He had property in or near Silver Springs, Lyon County, Nevada. Oliver and Maude had 8 children, the ones I know and have been around all my life. Now there might have been more children, who died when I was very young and didn't know about. Several are from 11 to 14 years older than I am. I'll list them below, but not sure of birth rank. S. from about 1890 till about 1920's. The last person I knew who was named 'Belle' was a friend's mother who was born about 1915. Haven't heard of it since. I copied what was in the newspaper....Doraugh. I know where the Hillside Cemetery is located as I use to live just a couple blocks away from it. It's in the general vacinity of the University of Nevada at Reno (UNR).The cemetery is in rather sad shape with a few headstones still standing and with no greenery or trees, just dirt surrounded by a chainlink metal fence. I don't know why the gravestone would have the 'Doragh' spellling. I'll see what I can find at the cemetery for you. I would think that the newspaper spelling would be the one that her family used.
