    2. Reno Evening Gazette Mon. Feb 21, 1916 Hundreds Attend Funeral of W. Morton Former Deputy Sheriff Is Laid To Rest; Sheriff and Deputies Act As Pall Bearers Hundreds of former friends and associates of Walter Morton, who died here last Wednesday accompanied the remains to its final resting place in Mountain View cemetery yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted in the chapel of Groesbeck & O'Brien, Rev. W. D. Trout officiating. The Reno band of which Mr. Morton has been a member for several years accompanied the remains to the cemetery and played several marches. The pallbearers were selected from the sheriff's office and were Sheriff C. P. Ferrel, C. S. Nichols, T. Bennett, Park Wheeler, J. Farrell and G. C. Thomas. The pallbearers contributed a floral piece in the form of a star, which was a symbol denoting the position as deputy sheriff, which was formerly held by Mr. Morton. The casket was banked with other floral pieces. Mrs. F. M. Lee and Mme. Kempre Gailotti sang "Some Sweet Day," and the "Home Land" at the services. Hagar, Pioneer of Nevada, Passed Away Yesterday at Her Home Mrs. Georgiana Hagar, pioneer resident of Nevada and well known in Sparks died yesterday at her home in Sparks after a short illness. She was 66 years old and had spent nearly 40 years in Nevada, having been a resident of Battle Mountain up until eight years ago when she moved to San Francisco. Later she came back to Nevada and has lived in Sparks for the past four years. Mrs. Hagar was well known in this state as an active church worker and was prominently connected with the Methodist church of Sparks. She is survived by three sons and two daughters. The sons are Roy T. and Ralph Hagar and E. P. Peace of Sparks, and the daughters are Mrs. C. C. Miles of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Irene Geraghty of Sparks. She was a member of the Sparks order of Pythian Sisters.

    2. Nevada State Journal Thur. July 6, 1911 Page 3, Col. 1 Dr. Otis Jacobs Answers Call Passes Away in San Francisco After Suffering From Nervous Breakdown Dr. J. Otis Jacobs of Reno, who went to San Francisco several weeks ago on the verge of a nervous breakdown, died yesterday morning in the bay city. On his arrival in San Francisco, Dr. Jacobs entered a hospital there, but shortly afterwards was removed to the home of a brother in order that he could be given every attention necessary. However, his condition had become so weakened that he failed to respond to the expert treatment secured, and succumbed to the inevitable. For several years Dr. Jacobs was a resident of Reno and during that time conducted a veterinary hospital here. He met with an accident several months ago and following suffered a nervous breakdown which ultimately caused death. Dr. Jacobs was a native of San Francisco, aged 37 years, 7 months, 12 days. He is survived by a widow, father, three brothers, and two sisters. He was a member of Reno lodge, No. 13, Free and Accepted Masons, Reno Consolatory and A. and A. Scottish Rite. The remains will arrive from San Francisco Friday morning and will be escorted to the Masonic Temple. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be under the auspices of the Reno lodge of Masons. The interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Marcena NM

Henriques, died this morning from spinal meningitis at the home of his parents. Until a few days ago the little fellow appeared to be in normal health. His mother recovered fully from the operation. The remains were removed to the undertaking parlors of Gr-esbeck and O'Brien. The funeral services will be announced later. The deceased was 21 years and was a native of Italy.
