He was 60 years of age. Mr. EMDE was born June 27, 1940 in Flushing, Queens, NY; one of three sons of Robert and Evelyn JOHNSON EMDE. He was schooled in NY, and was a member of the NYPD until relocating to Las Vegas and joining the LVPD. He was an active Board member of the LVPPA representing the Detective Bureau until his retirement as a Senior Grade Detective of the Larceny Detail. Mr. Emde is survived by two children, Dawn EMDE of Las Vegas and Christopher EMDE of Overton; two adopted children, Joanne COX and Jeanne EMDE of Las Vegas; two step children, Georgann COOK of Overton and Wayne MANTOOTH of Norwalk, Calif.; two brothers Gerard (Eileen) and Thomas (Ann) of Long Island, NY, six grandchildren. Viewing will be at the Palm Chapel at Eastern and Patrick in Las Vegas, Nevada. Internment will be at the Palm Cemetery at the same location on Saturday, December 30, 2000, at 11:00 A.M. PST
