    3. I am letting people know that a new County List for Genealogical Discussion & research have been started in California: CAINYO [Inyo County]. I expect that as a rural county it may not be as active as some of the others in California, but I believe in time it can be very helpful. Subcribing is by sending an e-mail message with the word "subscribe" as the only word in the body of a message with no subject to: (mail mode): "caxxxxxx-l-request@rootsweb.com" (digest mode): "caxxxxxx-d-request@rootsweb.com" Posting queries is by subscribers is to: "caxxxxxx-l@rootsweb.com" where "caxxxxxx" is the list name ["cainyo"] I would like to announce the startup of this new list so that people with an interest in genealogy in Inyo County can be made aware of it. I hope that you can include a reference to it in th Inyo County GenWeb site. Thanks again. 1. [NVCLARK-L] Introduction...
    2. Edward A. Black, Sr. & Ruth M. Black
    3. I thought I'd introduce myself since I recently decided to establish this list. My name is Edward A. Black, Sr. and I established this list for those who desire to contact others who have like desires in locating family members, taking part in discussions or doing other genealogical research in one of the counties of Nevada. My interest in comes because my wife has had kinfolk that lived in various parts of the state such as Elko, Eli, or Wells. My wife currently has a 2nd cousin that lives in Henderson, NV [near Las Vegas] with her family. We hear from them online every so often. I currently live in Lancaster, California and I have been married 27-1/2 years, having raised a son, who himself is married and has 2 sons of his own. He lives in McAllen, TX. I've had an interest in genealogy since I was a child [although I referred to it as finding my roots], but due to a job & raising our son, lacked the time until a couple of years ago. I have long found enjoyment in helping others, in my case doing what I can to help in family history. I have found that the lists I've taken part in have helped a lot in locating family members on either my own or that of my wife's family. Enjoy this new site and I do hope that it will assist you users with your genealogical work & discussions. It is intended to be a tool for that purpose. Take care & God Bless, Sincerily, Edward A. 1. [NVCLARK-L] Marriage Certificate Questions
    2. Steve & Shannon
    3. I sent for my parents marriage certficate from the Clark Co. Recorder and only received a "Certified Abstract." Is it possible to obtain a copy of the full certificate and a copy of the marriage application? Secondly, I was wondering if anyone knows what the legal age for marriage was in 1965? My mom supposedly listed her age as 19, but I have reason to believe she may have only been 18? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Shannon spettis@mtaonline.net
