Connelly Of Hawthorne Dies In A Reno Hospital Article Text: (Special to the Gazette) Hawthorne - Riley C. CONNELLY, 70, died Wednesday (18 May 1977) in a Reno hospital. He was born 27 Dec 1906 in Albion, NB. He came to Hawthorne in 1955 from Bremerton, WA to work at the Hawthorne Naval Ammunition Depot. CONNELLY was Digital Computer Systems Administrator when he retired in 1971 after 34 years of civil service. He was a member of BPOE 1704 Hawthorne, American Legion and Sons of Erin of Nevada. Surviving are his widow Florence of Hawthonre; son, Riley of Parks, SD; sisters, Corrine WEIDNER of Greely, NB, Lucille BURKE of Daly City, CA and Ethel PEETS of Sun City, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. A son, Jerome, preceded him in death. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 on Saturday (21 May 1977) at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Hawthorne Cemetery.
