NEASHAM Is Found Dying Near Asylum From Self-Inflicted Wound Article Text: While in a dying condition as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound through the roof of his mouth, William C. NEASHAM, a prosperous rancher of Sparks, but who has a home at Virginia and Sixth Streets in Reno was discovered shortly before noon by passers-by who summoned medical assistance, but NEASHAM died before help arrived. No cause for the suicide has yet become known, except it is said that recently he appeared not to be in his right mind. NEASHAM returned fro a visit to the San Francisco exposition a few days ago and has been aparently in the best of spirits. During the morning he visited the store of his brother-in -law Thomas CURNOW, 223 North Virginia Street and chatted a short time with several acquaintances. Shortly before noon he was found lying in along the road leading from the gravel pit near the Southern Pacific tracks to the asylum. The discovery was made by Charles BROWN and Clyde RUDOLPH who live at the Clarendon Hotel and a man named LaLONDE of Sparks. NEASHAM was still living but expired before medical assistance could arrive. He had used a .32 calibar revolver(gruesome details). Acting coroner UNSWORTH was summoned and after examining the body and the scene had the remains conveyed to the undertaking parlors of Perkins and Gulling. An inquest will be held tomorrow. NEASHAM was 48 years of age and a member of the I.O.O.F.. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Matilda NEASHAM, and several children; Edward, William, Leslie, Harold, Aubrey and Gerald NEASHAM and Mrs. P.E. RAYMOND of Reno. He was the son of Mrs. Katherine MEASHAM of Fort Bidwell, CA.
