McGinnis Article Text: Leslie C. McGINNIS died Thursday (22 Feb) at his home. He was 75. He was born 29 Dec 1887 in Curlew, Iowa. He came to Hawthorne in 1942 to work at the Naval Ammunition Depot, he retired in 1957. He then worked as a custodian for the Mineral County School District until 1969. H e was the Senior Warden of the St. Phillip's Episcopal Church here, past Noble Grand of the Oddfellows Lodge of Hawthorne and a charter member of the Naval Depot's Employes Benefit Association. Survivors include his widow Minnie; sons. Verne of Napa, CA and Lyle of Medford, OR; 5 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter; brother, Cecil of Algona, IA and sister, Nellie STEPHENSON of Madrid, IA. A funeral is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (25 Feb) in Hawthorne Funeral Home.
