He was 74 years old and had been ill since 1936. Born in North Carolins he moved to Goldfield, NV in 1904 and constructed many of the buildings during the boom days. He later moved to Manhattan, NV when mining activity increased in that section. Shortly after moving to Tonopah, NV in 1918 Mr. COOK extended his contracting work to include trucking and engaged in that business until 1930 when he moved to Reno. He was stricken in 1936 and three years later moved to Hawthorne to recover his health. He suffered a relapse in 1945 that left him an invalid. His widow, Mrs. Catherine COOK survives. Services were held at the Noone mortuary and burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery. Pallbearers were George WANZER, Charles TAYLOR, John ANDREWS, Farrell SEEVERS, Peter KEENAN and Tex CARDEN.
