Services were conducted in the J.J. Noone Mortuary and burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery. The late Mr. JONES was born in England, in 1894 he was naturalized in Nevada City. He later established his home in Hawthorne. In the 1920's he and two partners sold for a considerable sum their interest in Mable Mine properties South of Hawthorne and Mr. JONES retired. Although he never ran for office, he was said to be close personal friend and political adviser to the late Gov. Fred B. BALZAR.
