Mrs. McNEELY had been in failing health for several months and her condition was described as critical prior to the time the operation was performed in a last effort to prolong her life. Conducting the services at the First Baptist Church and at the graveside in the Hawthorne Cemetery was the Rev. H. Glenn DISCOE, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Members of Queen of The Lake Rebekka Lodge of which Mrs. McNEELY was affiliated, attended the services in a group. Mrs. McNEELY was born in Missouri where she spent the greater part of her life. She came to Hawthorne about five years ago and for a time was employed at the Naval Depot during the war years. She and Mr. McNEELY were married here abouot four years ago. Her husband and a three year old daughter, Joyce Lee McNEELY survive.
