He had been ill for some time with pneumonia. Deceased was 57 years of age and had been a resident of Mineral County for 25 years. He was a native of Montenegro. Coming to this country in 1905, he traveled extensively, reaching Tonopah in 1911. That same year he came to Mineral County and settled in Cottonwood Canyon where he had worked in the developement of a mine for close to a quarter of a century. In April 1934, he enrolled in CCC camp here and was in that service when taken by death. MILICH was joined by his brother, George, in the developement of the Cottonwood mine in 1912 and together they worked until two years ago when Mike enrolled in the CCC. Both were experienced in mining. Mike holding an engineers degree from the college he attended in the old country. He had also served as an Army officer in his native land. Surviving besides his brother living in Hawthorne, are the widow of deceased, two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been completed but it is probable services will be held here Saturday (21 Mar).
