Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon (15 Nov) and burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. R.S. RUPP, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Hawthorne with music being provided by Mrs. RUPP and Mrs. ARMSTRONG. Born in Chicago, Mr. MELLENDER moved to Hawthorne with his family in 1942.
