Lane Taken By Death Article Text: Francis T. LANE, 65, died at Mount Grant Hospital in Hawthorne 28 Feb following a short illness. A resident of Hawthorne for a number of years, Mr. LANE was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 3 Sep 1892. Soon afterwards he moved to North Dakota where he lived as a youth and attended the North Dakota Agricultural College. He was a veteran of World War One. He had been active in ranch worl in Wyoming and Nevada until his recent illness. He is survived by his widow, Mabel L. LANE; son Floyd HOEFER, both of Hawthorne; two daughters, Mrs. Virginis FREED of Reno, Mrs. Alice MAESTRETTI of Sparks,; two uncles, William and Fred GEIL of Oregon, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
