Law making activities in Carson were suspended for the day to allow legislators to attend the services. A profusion of flowers, many of them from friends and associates unable to be present, decorated yhe casket and chapel. Services here this afternoon were under the direction of Reno Lodge # 597, BPOE with T.L.WITHERS acting exalted ruler and the Rev. F.C. MURGOTTEN as Chaplain. Honorary pallbearers from the state legislature, of which Senator MILLER was one of the veterans in point of service, included Senators Aaron V. TALLMAN, Walter COX, James A. WADSWORTH, Leslie KOFOED, H.C. HEIDTMAN, Will COBB, Ralph LATTIN, H.A. MODARELLI, Charles RUSSEL, Archie GRANT, Assemblyman William CASHILL, Hayes DONNELLY and C.C. BOAK. Active pallbearers were Leiut. Governor Maurice SULLIVAN, Senators William DRESSLER, Ira WINTERS, John E, ROBBINS, Harry DEVOTIE and C.F. WITTENBERG. Music for the services was provided by Mrs. Lula GRIMMER, organist while the duet of L.E. LAYMAN and Mrs. Marguerite WEST sang "End of a perfect day" and "Someday we'll understand." Committal services will be held at the Hawthorne Cemetery at 5:00 this afternoon under the Esmeralda Lodge Knights of Pythias.
