MARSHALL, a lifelong resident of Nevada and a resident of Mineral County since 1906 died Tuesday afternoon (11 May) at her home in Hawthorne. Mrs. MARSHALL, who was 75 years old, had been in poor health for several years. Funeral services will be conducted in Hawthorne Friday afternoon (14 May) by the Mineral Temple of the Pythian Sisters of which Mrs. MARSHALL was a charter member. The services will be in the Knights of Pythias Hall and burial will be in the Hawthorne Cemetery. Born Mae J. CARROLL in Genoa, NV, Mrs. MARSHALL was raised in Gold Hill, moving to Hawthorne in 1906. For several years, including the WWI period, she made her home in Luning with her husband Joseph MARSHALL. They returned to Hawthorne after the first World War and Mrs. MARSHALL has made this her home since. Mr. MARSHALL died in Winnemucca, NV 15 Jan 1949 and is buried there.
