MONTROSE, Mineral County Assemblywoman Edna McKEOUGH MONTROSE who died at his home Tuesday afternoon (10 Jul 1945). Seriously ill for several months, Mr. MONTROSE was 54 at the time of his death. A native of Lundy, CA, Mr. MONTROSE had been a resident of Hawthorne since 1931, when he came here to be a foreman of the mechanical department of Berkham's Garage. The last four years he had been employed under the civil service at the Hawthorne Ammunition Depot, where he obtained the rating of leadingman ordinanceman when his illness forced his resignation. He had been under the care of physicians since his retirement. Services were held in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Friday morning (13 Jul 1945). Burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery. In additin to his widow who he married last September, Mr. MONTROSE is survived by a daughter; Private Carrie M. BRADLEY WAC, stationed at the Fletcher General Hospital, Cambridge, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. I.A.
