McInnis Is Lamented Article Text: Deepest grief and sorrow have enveloped all of Hawthprne, following the news of the death of Mrs. Guy A. McINNIS at Saint Mary's hospital in Reno early Tuesday morning (22 Oct). Mrs. McINNIS had been ailing for several weeks bearing bravely and minimizing her infirmity and on last Thursday her suffering had become so accute and her condition so alarming the Doctors D.A. SMITH and J.A. STREET were called in consultation and advised her removal to the hospital in Reno for surgical treatment. The trip to Reno waas undertaken on Sunday evening with two cars. Mr. McINNIS, Mrs. Kate McKENZIE, her mother, John ANDREWS and Joe COOK accompanying. Mrs. McINNIS bore the journey splendidly, it is stated and inspired highest hopes for an eraly recovery. On Monday, the children were motored to Reno by Mrs. John ANDREWS. Mrs. McINNIS, nee Anna T. McKENZIE, was a native of Bodie, CA, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McKENZIE, pioneers of the Bodie gold rush. She was married to Guy A. McINNIS at Bodie, and is survived by her husband, Mrs. Kate McKENZIE, her mother, a sister Mrs. Will BEEL of Oakland, CA; three brothers, John and William McKENZIE of Oakland, CA and Marvin McKENZIE of Manhattan, NV; five children Kathleen, Roderick, Aileen, Donald and Mervyn. While devoted to her home and family ties, Mrs. McINNIS was never insensible to the pleasures and enjoyments of outside life and by her active participation in and attention to social amenities, has won fer herself and family a high community esteem. The remains were brought to Hawthorne Tuesday night, accompanied by the family. Mrs. McINNIS' sister from Oakland and her brothers John and Marvyn, who had been summoned to her bedside.
