Funeral services were held in Yerington this afternoon (Wednesday). Mr. BERRYMAN, who was born in Eureka, Nevada first came to Hawthorne about 1900. He was employed as a brakeman on the old Carson and Colorado railroad line which ran into Hawthorne. In fact it was at the corner of F and 5th Streets in Hawthorne that a railroad accident occured in which Mr. BERRYMAN suffered a broken leg. In 1927 when the late Fred B. BALZAR of Hawthorne became governor of Nevada, Mr. BERRYMAN was appointed to a position at the Nevada State Prison and moved to Carson City that year. For morre than 20 year she was in charge of the transportation of prisoners to Carson City from all parts of Nevada and never once in that period did a prisoner escape from him, although many times he was responsible for the delivery of hardend criminals.
